DUNAFERR Sheet-forming Ltd. (DLA Ltd.) was set up as of March 1, 1991, as a part of the restructuring process of DUNAFERR DUNAI VASMŰ. The limited liability company that was formed from DUNAFERR’s Sheet Processing production unit is 100% owned by DUNAFERR DUNAI VASMŰ Shareholding Company.
It processes an ever increasing proportion of DUNAI VASMŰ’s rolled goods production into secondary or
tertiary products.

manufactures cold bent open and closed steel sections.
The cold bent steel sections are sections with small
wall thickness', in some cases complicated shapes,
having very good static characteristics compared to
their wall thickness', produced on roller-type bending
lines, used by the domestic and the foreign industry
in a wide range of applications.
The expansion and favourable possibilities for further use of the bent steel sections are attributable to the rich size and shape assortment as well as the significant assortment of raw material grades. By selecting favourable sizes and shapes, cross-section factors 1.5 to 2.5 times, and inertia radii 1.5 to 1.6 times that of traditional structural materials (e.g. hot rolled steel sections) can be achieved, which naturally results in significant steel savings during use.
2 open and 4 closed bending lines as well as several ancillary equipment are available for manufacturing the bent steel sections. Our company had recognized in the past few years that further growth can be achieved in the use of its products by improving their quality and increasing the higher added value. Our present publication already contains the implemented developments.
In order to ensure undisturbed production, the ancillary activities, sales, production management, technological and tool designing, etc. are carried on in a computer system.
We have grouped the cold bent steel sections in our
catalogue as follows:
- sections for general use,
- sections for special use.
The range of round steel sections is between 16 and 133 mm, and for quadrangular steel sections ranges from 15 x 15 mm to 150 x 60 mm. The simpler shaped sections belong to the group of general use sections, which can be applied in a wide range of various areas (e.g. "L", channel, "C", "Z", open; round and square cross-section closed sections, etc.).
Belonging to the group of special purpose sections are those complicated shaped sections, which are manufactured for specific uses.
